When It Comes To Decorating, It’s All In The Detail

It’s full steam ahead to Christmas and in addition to the never ending lists of presents, decoration, festive events and the planning of the feast, houseguests are at the forefront of our minds. We want everything to be just right. So in addition to the extra furniture space, fresh bedding and towels we’re giving our main rooms a bit of a spruce too.

As the saying goes, the design is in the detail. And every aspect of your redecoration can be tailored to your personal tastes; including your radiators.

I don’t know about you but we don’t often give radiators a second glance when it comes to redecorating. The only time they cross my mind is when they don’t work or are looking particularly worn. In my mind there wasn’t really much that you could do with them in any case; the radiators and even the space around them get written off as wasted. Although heated towel rails seem to be a popular choice, they only really look appropriate in the bathroom. Even though they are a fresh change from traditional column radiators they’re just not practical or in keeping with the décor around the rest of the house.

Thankfully, it seems we’re no longer limited when it comes to having a choice about what our heating systems bring to a space, in addition to the heat aspect of course. With glass radiators, you can have your pick.

In the kitchen, you may favour a design with food and drink on it or even give the illusion of a window with a garden, floral or tree arrangement. For your living spaces we favour the waterfalls, landscapes and abstract art. There are even designs that the children will love with Lego, fish, animals or something with a little more action and adventure like fire breathing dragons. Even if you’d prefer a solid colour, there really is something for every room and every taste. You’re not even limited on position; instead of having single units you could go for double or treble artwork collections to give greater dimensions to your room. Perhaps you don’t want something that is horizontal but vertical instead? It can be done.

So if you’re looking to spruce up your living space, kitchen or bedrooms this Christmas, why not pick something that’ll not only keep you warm but give you something to admire as well; we’ll guarantee it’ll be a talking point. In fact, we’re pretty certain it’ll steal Christmas’ thunder.
