NY inspired living

America is a country with many holidays, traditions and events. On our recent trip to America I was particularly inspired. Homes were adorned with Autumnal wreaths, Halloween festivities were in full swing and stores were picture perfect on what we could create with our living spaces, friends were lovingly discussing upcoming Thanksgiving plans and traditions and even nature was participating with an early fall in leaves in bright orange, yellow and red hues.

Two of America’s holidays are coming up; Halloween and Thanksgiving. As America is a favourite destination of mine and now have a number of friends there, I intend to embrace as much of these holidays as I possibly can from across the pond. So, we’ll be dedicating a few posts to these holidays in celebration and in case you want to get involved too. First up though, we thought we’d take a look at living spaces which is completely inspired by the New York visit- Thank you Pottery Barn!

Here are our favourite items to transform your living space this Autumn/Winter.

Look to nature: This is a pretty universal trend this season which we’ve already touched on in a feature of the same title earlier in the season. But were not meaning this in the material sense only. Autumnal colours are gorgeous. Think orange, yellow, red and brown.
