You’ve spent a long time deliberating your outfit but now you need to determine what shoe works best. To ensure you always have something to wear- shoes for every outfit it you will, we’ve compiled a quick go-to guide for shoes.

Trainers

Outside of the gym, it’s always good to have a pair of trainers on hand for when you want a more casual look. We favour a crisp white sneaker as this will go with almost any outfit when you want something a little more relaxed, and of course, comfortable.

Yes, they’ll even look great with a tailored trouser, trust!

Ankle boots

Winter, spring, summer or fall an ankle boot is great year-round. They can give you a bohemian look to your outfit, depending on style and how they’re paired, for example, with a floaty, summer dress they’re just dreamy.

Put them with a pair of black jeans and vest/crop top and you’re a rock chick! It can make you look both smart and casual at the same time, what’s not to love.

Wedges

Your summer go-to! Perfect for the beach, perfect for drinks in town, yes to celebrating a birthday, but we don’t recommend wearing them to a wedding. Most wedges are too informal for such an occasion. Unless they’re really dressy, then you may get away with it.

Ballet/Pumps

For those days you don’t want to wear heels but need something a little dressier than trainers, you got to have a pair of pumps on hand. We’d recommend a pair in black or navy to go with any outfit but we just can’t say no to a pastel/neutral pink or grey which helps to break up block colour or too much black.

Must have shoes for women

Court shoes

You’ll likely own a variety of court shoes; some suitable for work, some more for partying. If you’re trying to minimalise the number of shoes you own, opt for a neutral or navy colour so you can wear them with pretty much everything. Perfect shoe style for weddings and slaying at work, if you’re want to feel a little powerful, you can’t go wrong in a court.

Mules

Mules are a great shoe that sits in between a ballet/pump and court. You can get them flat, or with a kitten heel if you’d prefer but these are definitely a dressier shoe. Summer is the perfect time to don a pair.

Sandals

You’ll find sandals in all different kinds of varieties. You can have flat, casual ones ideal for summer, something a little more supportive that you can wear day in and out, and then you can get some skyscraper ones that are super dressed up. We’d recommend owning a flat pair and something with a heel. With the flats you can throw these in your suitcase for holidays, they look good at the beach or out shopping. As for heels, we swoon for sandals with a little strap around the ankles and toes; great for a night out or at a wedding.
