It’s that time of year…again! Christmas seems to roll around quickly, especially when you’re busy. If you’re struggling with gift ideas, whether it’s for the children or the grown-ups in your life, here are some of the must-have items you should check out.

Christmas Gifts for kids

Let’s start with the little ones!

Outfoxed

Sometimes board games with little ones can be, well, a bit strained. But that’s not the case with a cooperative game! Outfoxed is a little bit like Guess Who, but with more gameplay involved. You roll the dice to move around the board, search for clues, and unveil suspects.

Players will work together to work out the mystery of which fox stole the pie. But there’s a time limit – the longer you take, the closer the fox will get to escaping.

We’ve played this in our house many times, and it’s perfect if one of your kids is in the ‘sore loser’ phase – everyone can still enjoy this without having to get super competitive.

Cable Guys Holder

If you’ve got an older kid in the house, this is an excellent gift. We were lucky enough to try out one of these, and they’re a really cute stocking stuffer or small gift for under the tree.

There are several characters in the Cable Guy range available – many that appeal to kids and adults alike, but we went for a Fall Guys character, because my kids love that game. They’re designed to hold phones and earpods, keeping them safe and out of the way, and you can connect them at the base, which means you can collect several to hold all of your gadgets safely.

My daughter loves this, and uses it to keep her remote control or phone safe. These make for great gifts for older kids when they’ve grown out of toys, but still enjoy opening presents.

Barbie Toy Stable

So many girls have dreamed of having a Barbie horse stable over the years, and they’re still going strong! This set is inspired by the Netflix series Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase, and includes 6 play areas and over 25 pieces to play with.

If you’ve got a little one who loves Barbie, this makes for a lovely present, and will definitely keep them occupied on Christmas morning.

Magnetic Tiles

These magnetic tiles are fantastic for imaginative play, and are a classic toy kids will return to again and again. The more tiles you collect, the bigger structures you can build, and this set includes 82 pieces, so there’s plenty to get started.

These are a nice step up from building blocks and are good for improving hand-eye coordination. A good pick for younger primary-aged kids.

VTech Baby My First Record Player

The VTech Baby My First Record Player is an adorable toy for both babies and parents alike! If you’ve got an older baby or toddler in a house, this is a lovely toy. You can switch records to play jazz, pop, techno, country, or hip-hop, and with buttons to press and lovely colours to look at, this is a good toy for a rainy day.

Christmas Gifts for teens

Teens can be notoriously hard to buy for, and chances are, they’ve already told you (or their parents) the specific things they want this year. But for smaller, more unusual presents, here are a few ideas:

Make Your Own Lip Balm Kit

This is a good gift for younger teen girls, or that awkward ‘preteen’ stage that can be difficult to buy for. This Make Your Own Lipbalm Kit comes with nourishing ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, cocoa butter, and almond oil, along with a fragrance and some empty pots and instructions.

This is a nice ‘bonus’ gift and a good activity for a quiet day.

Boux Avenue Pyjama Set

Boux Avenue’s Pyjamas in a Bag are lovely – they’re good quality, their short sets are great for older teens and it makes for a lovely gift. With a variety of patterns and sizes, this makes for a great gift for teen girls who love to lounge around and chill at home.
Their cable-knit fluffy socks are an excellent add-on present, too.

Escape Room in an Envelope

A great stocking filler for teens, this Escape Room in an Envelope is personalised with their name on it. You can even record a video or voice message for them when they’ve solved it.

This gift can be sent straight in the post to your recipient with a ‘don’t open until …’ message, which means you can send it to the teens in your family who you don’t get to see very often.

Ticketmaster vouchers

If you’ve got a music lover you need to buy more, nothing will excite them more than the chance to go to some gigs in the next year. Ticketmaster vouchers are fantastic for this – they can choose the event themselves, so they won’t be tied to a specific date.

Vouchers can feel like a boring gift to give, but you’ll be giving them memories to treasure – which is just as valuable as a physical present, or maybe even more so.

Shower Speaker

If you’ve got a teen who blasts music at all times, a Bluetooth Shower Speaker is the perfect gift. It’s waterproof, it’s safe to use in the shower, and they can keep listening to music uninterrupted.

This particular speaker has a light show and a strong suction cup, so it will attach to the shower wall. Although if you have a teen who takes too long in the shower, this one might be best avoided!

Christmas Gifts for women

Next up, the hottest gifts for women this year.

Loungewear

The lockdowns may be over, but loungewear is forever. These Halo Essential Wideleg Trousers by Vuori are pricey, but the most soft and comfortable trousers, and they look gorgeous with the matching cardigan.

Loungewear is a great gift for women. You can also try Next for a more affordable collection – this Pink Cosy Waffle Knit Pyjama Set is pretty enough to be worn around the house in the daytime too.

Subscription boxes are still a wonderful gift, because they spread the joy over the course of a whole year. This Classic Cookie Subscription Box delivers a batch of freshly baked cookies, up to 12 per box, and can be delivered from every 7 to every 30 days.

There are other options too, including gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan cookies. If you have a chocolate lover you want to buy for, this is perfect.

Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is brilliant for book lovers. It has improved page turning speed, an auto-adjusting front light, wireless charging, and a good amount of storage at 32GB – that’s a lot of must-read books in one place.

It’s also ultra-thin, which is really useful if the person you’re thinking of travels a lot. On top of that, it’s waterproof, so you can read it safely in the bath.

Clinique Twice as Sweet Black Honey Lipstick Gift Set

The Clinique Twice as Sweet Black Honey Lipstick Gift Set is a lovely stocking filler. Clinique’s almost lipstick is soft, easy to apply, and flattering, and this duo is an excellent choice for Clinique fans.

Classic Gold Hoops

Organic Gold Hoop Earrings

Gold hoops never seem to go out of style, and these Organic Gold Hoops from Etsy are beautiful. They offer a slightly different shape and texture than plain hoops, and they come in a pretty gift box.

Etsy is a great place to go for jewellery – you can support independent sellers and small businesses, and you may even be able to get personalised items.

Christmas Gifts for men

And lastly, let’s take a look at some gift ideas for the men in your life.

Beavertown Core Craft Beer Bundle

It’s a classic for a reason! Craft beer remains incredibly popular, and this Beavertown Core Craft Beer Bundle is brilliant. With a Beavertown glass included, this set feels a little more special to give to a friend or relative.

Kiehl’s Hydration to the Extreme Set

Kiehl’s offers gorgeous luxury skincare, and their Hydration to the Extreme set is a good starter kit for men. It includes the Ultra Facial Cleanser, Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask, Ultra Facial Cream, and the Creamy Eye Treatment.

It’s the perfect beginner set, or a good top-up if the man in your life already uses Kiehl’s.

Rabing Temperature Controlled Smart Mug

This is a lovely gift for someone who works from home, or has an office job, and often finds themselves making a cup of tea and immediately forgetting about it! The Rabing Temperature Controlled Smart Mug is a self-warming coffee mug with temperature controls. You can control the temperature using the buttons on the mug itself, or by downloading an app on your phone.

This means your drink will be kept at the perfect temperature until you’re ready to drink it. It’s a fun little gadget gift for a friend or family member.

iDventure Clue Box

Image: iDventure

These beautifully crafted iDevnture Clueboxes are stunning to look at and fun to solve. They’re made from high-quality wood and contain intricate puzzles that you must solve in order to open the box and solve the mystery.

We have a few of these in our house, and they look stunning after you’ve solved them. They’re a fun gift (and genuinely tricky to solve!).

Mini Projector

This is a lovely gift, but be warned: you may not want to get out of bed again. This mini projector is compact, but works perfectly. It supports 5G WiFi, so you can use it seamlessly with your streaming services, and it also has stereo speakers, so you’ll be guaranteed good sound.

A mini projector offers endless possibilities: movies in the garden, a mini cinema in the garage, or just a lazy night watching Netflix in bed.
