Secret World is a Wildlife Rescue Centre in East Huntspill, Somerset, established in 1984. It is a 24/7 centre that aids animals across the South West with aims of rescue and rehabilitation before releasing back into the wild. Secret World receives no government funding for the work they do, they rely solely on donations from individuals (like you and I), companies and groups that fund-raise on their behalf. The costs to run the centre are quite extraordinary, your help is therefore imperative in aiding this fantastic service.
Their website is full of information of all the wonderful things they do. They also have a variety of links that provides education on some of the animals cared for at the centre and webcam connection.
This centre is only open to the public a limited number of times throughout the year- you can find out when to pay a visit via to their What’s On listings. I have many fond memories of visiting Secret World when I was younger and really is a beautiful programme and facility- I am super proud to support this charity this month.
