What I love most about Bristol Fashion Week is it is the fashion show for everyone. This year there were a total of 10 segments to the show where various retailers at The Mall showcase the SS15 trends we saw at London, New York, Paris and Milan last fall- but a much more attainable selection.

Everything you see at Bristol Fashion Week can be found at The Mall. You’ll be able to identify the looks you loved most by the ‘seen at Bristol Fashion Week’ tag. Fashion made easy and really enjoyable! Moreover, head to the info point to pick up your voucher booklet to get money off your favourite looks with most retailers participating.

What’s more, during Bristol Fashion Week, head to the food court area where you’ll find the pamper zone, where retailers and businesses are offering you everything from hairstyling to reflexology- most of which is free. A slot can be booked so it’s recommended you get there early to take advantage of this- as it’s available for everyone, not just Bristol Fashion Week ticket holders. A ticket will get you one of the exclusive Mall goodie bags which improve year on year.

I particularly liked the theme of this years event; travel. Starting at the departure lounge we jet set around the world and by the time we land back in Bristol, we’re all pretty clued up about the key looks for the season and leave full of inspiration and a lust list as long as our arm.

The top trends for Spring and Summer 2015 are:

70s chic: Think kick flare/bootcut, suede, fringe and paisley, floral prints

Militaristic Safari: Functional utility clothing such as large pockets, buttons and belts. Bold prints, khaki, beige and orange shades are hot with this trend.

Denim: Double denim is back- personally I think this trend looks best with contrasting colours; try a light denim shirt with dark denim, bootcut flare jeans.

Florals, Pastels and Tulle: Feminine chic in floral prints, pastel colours (in particular blush) and tulle fabrics.

Monochrome: black on white and white on black

Nautical: Blues, whites and stripes! It’s going to be warm!

Be Bold: Turn heads with contrasting bold colour combos! Bristol Fashion Week give us the confidence to go for it!

I was particularly taken back by Lipsy who moved right up to the hit list in my opinion with their new range of clothing moving into longer hemlines, more style and shape options- an offering for everyone.

Want to see the makeover highlights for Sue Jones, then look no further. You can find the videos for the other winners on The Mall’s youtube channel. This is an amazing segment to the show; The Mall team select 5 winners who were nominated by friends and family for an extra special makeover- The Mall presenter and celebrity stylist Mark Heyes takes the winners on a shopping trip around The Mall to select a new look. They also receive a cut and restyle at Clifton’s Tomlison and a masterclass at the Bobbi Brown makeup counter. They then take to the stage and showcase their new look. It’s actually quite emotional to hear about the stories and so wonderful to see these deserving women get the pamper they deserve!

Thanks Mall, Cribbs. I look forward to seeing you next season.
