The Month of March is very much about mums in our salon and marvelous awe inspiring new treatments and trends for 2015.
We are thinking about lovely beauty treatments to promote, gorgeous gifts to love and lots of ways we can add that little extra to your Beauty Time with us and make you or that special mum feel uber special.
The highlight of the Beauty Industry Calendar took place last weekend at Professional Beauty London, with all the latest trends for 2015 being showcased at Excel. For me, as a national Judge of 9 years and advisor to the beauty & hair industry, it’s a whirlwind of excitement. I took my place on the business skills stage to advise other salon owners and therapists how to promote and run a successful salon. It was a great honour and so wonderful to inspire other people new to the industry.
So what’s new for 2015?
Guinot, our skin care brand of over 20 years, launched a new facial at the show called Age Summum, an anti-aging facial using the very best ingredients available and, with its hands on approach, a facial that delivers results and relaxation.
Nutrition continues to make headwaves with the II AA (international Institute of Anti Aging) reminding us that what we put in makes a huge difference to what we see reflected in our skin.
Jessica nails launched a new polish that will bridge the gap between a normal polish and a soak off gel; a polish you can apply at home with quick drying qualities and as hard wearing as a gel- great for between salon manicures!
But still a front runner has to be everything to with eyes, with brows still a very strong leader in this race. The Mii Brow brand was unveiled with everything you could possibly need to keep brows at their best. Defining pencils, stencils to achieve the very best shape, along with highlighters and powders; we’ve instantly fallen in love with it.
After the excitement of the trade show, it was back for a small respite at the hotel before heading to The Brewery, in London for the Biggest and most glamorous night of the year, The Professional Beauty Awards, where over 800 industry professional, guests and therapists come together to celebrate and reward innovation and excellence.
As one of the longest standing judges to the professional beauty industry and after the many months of judging and mystery shopping, I always look forward to seeing the worthy winners pick up their much-coveted awards.
Well done to all that work hard to continue to make the beauty industry inspiring, creative and still one of the most caring professions.
