Upcoming wedding? Here’s our style guide to be this year’s chicest guest.
Make sure you check back every now and again because as and when we find something, here’s where you’ll find it (we’ll let you know of an update through Twitter)!
The M&S court shoes below may not look like anything special but from personal experience (I have the slingback version of these shoes), you’ll be hard pressed to find something more comfortable- and as I’m getting older I’m finding that alcohol no longer masks the pain and discomfort of shoes, these were literally a lifesaver and allowed me to dance the night away carefree at a number of occasions.
Handbag must haves! What every wedding guest should have in their bags
Outfit covered but looking for hairstyles? The interweb can sometimes be information overload- Youtube is obviously a go-to for inspiration. We’ve just picked out a few tutorials to help get you started, we think these are perfect for wedding guest glam- all of which can be personalised with your choice of accessories. Here are a few of our fav do’s!
Also John Frieda’s lookbook is a site you’ll want to bookmark with video tutorials, step by step guides and inspiration, you’ll find a hairstyle suitable for most occasions and to suit your personal preferences! I particularly love the The Glamour Bun, Fifty-Fifty and Playful Ponytail.
When it comes to beauty as a wedding guest, natural is best- however, if you’re an evening guest only then a party look is totally appropriate (though there is nothing stopping you if you’re an all day guest from taking your make up with you to vamp up your look)! If you’re looking for inspiration then I highly recommend downloading the Ask Bobbi app (available on Apple only) and/or checking out the Bobbi Brown makeup lessons page which is chocka full of beauty inspo! Celeb and fashion makeup artist Lisa Eldridge also has a ton of tutorial videos covering everything from problematic skin to on trend and occasional beauty looks. Our fav Lisa Eldridge video for this such occasion is the Beautiful Wedding/Prom/Occasion makeup tutorial which Lisa created on Jessica Biel at The Cannes film festival, check it out:
and there you go- hopefully we’ve equipped you with some ideas for the upcoming Wedding season! We hope you have the best time celebrating such amazing occasions with your friends and families.
