Avocado is known as a superfood, not only for its health benefits to our bodies but also to our skin. But when it comes to our hair, avocado should be known as ‘the fruit of God’ due to its astounding miracles.

Avocado holds natural oils that revitalizes dry hair and an itchy scalp. Its amino acids and proteins are able to penetrate deeply into the scalp to heal, nourish and improve the overall condition of you hair by moisturising the cells and strands that are responsible in providing you with beautifully smooth hair.

The oils can also help tame frizzy and damaged hair by fighting split ends and making it more manageable. The fruits nutrients are able to soothe damaged hair, which makes it more manageable and creates a silky and shiny look.

You can make your own avocado hair mask that revitalizes your hair from damage.

You will need:

  • One ripe avocado
  • One egg yolk
  • One tablespoon of coconut oil

Method:

  1. Mash the avocado and mix the egg yolk and coconut oil all together
  2. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp
  3. Relax for 15-20 minutes
  4. Wash out and continue with shampoo and conditioner

Using this mask once a week will soften brittle and dry hair, as well as add gloss and shine.
