Unable to get to Bristol Fashion Week last week for the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection? Don’t worry, you can get up to speed right here and shop all your favourite looks at your local high street shops. But we’d recommend heading to the Mall and highlighting to the amazing assistants the look you’re after and they’ll take good care of you!
Oh and enjoy the show, as did we.
Military look by M&S
The military trend doesn’t diminish this season. Your look should command attention. For this look think of sharp tailoring, capes and anything with those large brass buttons.
90s Sports Luxe by New Look
Is the cool and casual look for the season; it’s not all about the parties. It’s important to get some downtime in there too. Achieve the look with larger t-shirts, bomber jackets, softer than soft sweaters and when it comes to bottoms leggings or tracksuit bottoms are a must.
Oversized Coats by Next
When it comes to coats this season, the bigger, the better. Peacoats are an essential accessory- they’re warming and go with a dressed up or down look. If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed than a puffa or bomber jacket is your AW essential.
Winter Pastels by John Lewis
It’s about time that this trend transitioned from Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter. I love pastels and they’re extremely complimentary to a complexion which is what we need when it comes to the colder months as an alternative option to the sometimes dreary blacks, greys and browns.
When it comes to staples head to Superdry for adults, River Island for children
It’s time to refresh your wardrobe staples and this season we’re heading to Superdry who’s got the best selection we’ve seen. Whatever your excursion this season; drinks with friends, Christmas shopping, fireworks nights etc. you’ll look great in anything Superdry.
G0thic by Coast
Is the hottest trend this season. It’s an easy look to pull off too and a great look to experiment with with all the different textures. For this style try varying combinations of (or on it’s own) black and anything with lace, collars, ruffles and sheer will do.
Mismatch and Clash by River Island
A style we can relate to; Anything Goes. This is the trend that dares; if it doesn’t look right, you’re good to go. Try combinations of floral patterns, tarterns, print, stripes and block colours. Have fun!
Fairytale by Warehouse and Next
Who doesn’t love a little bit of romanticism? And what a look for the go-to party style of the season when there’s so much love in the air. To recreate this look, look for pieces with embellishments, are made of silk, traces of lace and floral- the floral trend is pretty big this season!
Animal Print by John Lewis
Release your wild side with this trend. We’re talking faux fur coats, faux fur lining and animal print. It’s an aspect that’ll really compliment your pastel tones.
Opulence by M&S
Think 1970s; velvet, jacquards, knitwear, bold florals and metallics. It’s the glamourous look we need to incorporate into everyday! Incorporate the sports luxe and fairytale aspect for a different kind of edge!
